Getting Started with Schoology

image of letter gradesOne of the biggest benefits of using Schoology as the MCS Learning Management System (LMS) is that its gradebook syncs to PowerTeacher. While the two systems share similar functionality, there are some slight differences on how they are setup. Whether you are a New Teacher to MCS, a Returning Teacher New to Schoology or an Experienced Schoology Teacher, you have two sets of options to consider:

There are specific sets of directions for each teacher group below based upon the options you choose for Grading Type and Grading Scale.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Grade scales work a little differently in Schoology than they do in PowerTeacher. PowerTeacher allows you to set a unique grade scale for select students or for the entire class. Schoology only allows it as an all-or-nothing option, the whole class gets it or no one does.
